We came here to rob them and that's what we're gonna do - beat their heads in, gouge their eyes out, slash their throats. Soon as we wash the dishes.

Three escaped inmates who hatch a plan to steal from a shopkeeper on Christmas. But their plans change when they find themselves actually growing to like their target and his family. Besides, the luckless merchant is apparently about to lose his shirt, as his business is unraveling. So, instead of robbing him, the convicts decide to help him, a mission that proves wildly complicated.

This is one of my Dad's favorite movies, and is now one of mine as well.  Every year we would watch this movie, so it's now a tradition to watch this movie.  It's a great movie, it has a great cast, and the story is funny.  There are so many lines that we all just quote all the time.  If you've never seen this one then it's definitely one to check out.  My favorite parts are when they are getting ready for Christmas dinner, and when Basil Rathbone's character arrives and asks for some fruit, I won't tell you when Bogart brings him, but it's hilarious, and the exchange between them is perfect.
